It's Finally December, lots of festivities and Santa is coming to town.

And cold nights ahead but cozy fires nights in as well ,kind of season.

It's officially the winter season and the Christmas time is upon us as well. The last month of 2019 before the new year of 2020. I hope you have been good because Santa is coming to town and he already check his list twice. We all made it through the year and the winter season is officially here, fluffy powder or not; long party nights ahead either way. That being said Let's talk all things Christmas.

I like to think the time slows down a bit through the Christmas season known as December. More time to be with family and friends then being stuck at the office in the late hours. The air is different, people are happier and blessings happen. Towns and cities , all around the world are decorated to the nines, I secretly wish that places would be decorated like this for every holiday. I bet your home is decorated as well with lots of twinkling lights and candy canes galore.

I hope you are sending out your christmas cards this year, a physical copy to hang on pair of twinkle lights in another family home. Sending out cards is one of favorite thing as receiving some in my own mailbox. I think it's special to receive one, seeing a family expanding or a favorite moment that was captured just to be on this years christmas card than just being shared on social media.

Another thing I enjoy is the a good hot chocolate and I use almost every excuse or reason to have one. Good Hot Cocoa and or Hot coffee with a good book, or share some good news with a friend. I mean give the marshmallows , a fire going and fluffy blanket is ideal setting in my opinion. And so if you need to find me this holiday season that's where I will be on all snowy days. Isn't around the merry season, there's more sweets and treats baked and given out more than any other season. I think santa had a great job doesn't he putting presents under the tree and gets free baked yummy treats and yummy hot cocoa on the go in return. What's your favorite sweet treat to have during the christmas season?

Some families nowadays do a gift card exchange or a white elephant parties. I am curious what do you do in gift giving every year? I enjoy buying physical gifts, something funny, something someone needs but won't buy for themselves. I rather get zero presents and give more than anything else, it's probably because I love Giving and Wrapping for hours with some christmas music playing in the background. And seeing the love on people's faces and the wonder what's beyond the wrapping paper. And a little shameless plug, My zazzle shop is up if you need any last minute gifts. Wink, Wink! Beyond anything else I mentioned about christmas my absolute everything is a Ornament giving. One tradition that I Love carrying on each year. Everyone getting a new ornament to hang on the tree. Something Special each year and the Ornaments can be passed down and expanded. Like to think , picking out a Ornament for someone is a representation of them and something they either achieved that particular year or something they love. I love the little sparkle in their eyes going through the tissue paper and seeing their ornament for the year. And it's always the first thing I purchase for someone and wrap. Do you have a favorite Ornament that someone has given you? Mine is a Candy can, chocolate chip broken in pieces with a smiley face in the middle; and if you haven't noticed and have been following me around for a while now, I love peppermint.

The last little thing I wanted to share about what I love about christmas is my favorite christmas memory. It a street in California and I haven't been there in a long time and I think the last time I was there , I was at least ten. The street is called Candy Cane lane ; I used to think its the closest place to a winter wonderland without the snow. And if you have never been, You should go for the experience. I loved jumping in the car with a cup of Hot chocolate, every year. In the night air with the windows down ,I can smell the that same winter night air now. I remember sticking my child hand out the window and watching a whole street full of christmas cheer. Warm white twinkle lights hanging up above connecting from trees and to the otherside of the street, making a arch way all the way through the street, it's an unbelieve journey. Each house is full of lights and each have a theme and color scheme, blending into the next house. Watching people walking the sidewalk with red and white beanies. The best part was seeing Santa being at the very last house at the end. Full of people and yet it felt like a hallmark movie before my innocent eyes. Makes me happy to remember that moment. Here's my last question : What's your favorite childhood christmas moment, that you can remember ?

Happy early Christmas and I hope you get your shopping done before the Twenty- Fifth. And I hope miracles happen for you; unexpectedly beautifully.

There will be another post during christmas day. And there's possibility this month, of a new written piece, be on a lookout for that!

With love Always,

Another trip out to the mountains, Eastern Sierra ; the place call my second home. This trip was a interesting one, I can easily say that. Two days with three cameras ,I got lots of pictures. This trip was originally supposed to be three days but life changed that but I am blessed to have the time I had, was amazing. Maverick had a bee sting him and the power went out at my home from the high winds but in the end everything worked out to be a happy ending.

Back to the trip, waking up at three am on a weekday was so worth it, in so many aspects. Yes , I did get my coffee at three am and drove five hours. So many sights that I have seen my whole life and also locations, I have never been before, surprising. At least on this trip no one lost their phone this time. But I did do the number one thing as photographer that would make any photographer cry. I dropped one of camera's in dirt ,at least it didn't land on the rocks and I didn't need emergency surgery on it either, I got LUCKY. I picked it up and said a little a prayer and it come to life. I main aim of this trip was to get more fall colors captured and chase down as many waterfalls , I could get to. I captured almost all of them on my list besides one, I couldn't to it, that's for another trip all by itself. I do have to say , I found one waterfall that I didn't expect to find on my last day , on a early morning at the twin lakes. I couldn't believe it , I never spotted it before this trip. I turned into a little girl in a candy shop quickly as I jumped out of the pick up truck faster than I ran into any coffee shop.

Speaking of coffee, Sidenote if you have never been to the black velvet coffee shop before worth every penny and then some in Mammoth.Let me tell you, everytime I am in Mammoth; I get myself a Peppermint mocha and I am one happy camper. Besides going to Mammoth, I went to Saddlebag, Lee Vining, June Loop; Convict Lake, Bishop and Mt Whitney area. Along the way in almost every location, I found a little spot or two that I never been before. Sometimes I think each time I am on the Eastern Sierra ,It keeps growing and new places appear that, I have never been to before.

I love the aspect of traveling up and down curvy roads that lead to places that I have been before. I love that giddy smile and laugh seeing something that makes you completely relax that's not the internet or social media related but what's in front of the windows of the soul that makes life unbelieve to experience. I hiked so many paths in those days and saw butterflies , flying besides me and hearing the running creeks in the area and the clean air to breathe in. I did have a few sketchy little hikes that turned into crawling on rocks and griping edges . I can easily say another successful trip without a hiking injury.

I think one of the coolest things about this trip was being the one to show someone else places where they have never been before that made my heart happy to share that with that person. And watching their eyes see something for the first time made me feel like, I was seeing those spots for the first time to. Two locations for me where perfect to photograph was Convict lake and the two waterfalls in Lee Vining . I just happened to have the right timing and lighting to get the exact shots, I wanted that made happy.

Another interesting moment was watching a hatchery truck drive past then immediately jumping in the truck to find where his next location was. I haven't done that since I was a little girl , it felt like a mission to find the truck when he had about ten minutes ahead of us. After go through a few other spots and no truck in sight , we saw him coming out of the next campsite. Being excited to not only find some gorgeous but wouldn't you believe it, I found another waterfall , I HAVE Never seen before in my whole life. I almost cried right on the spot but there was few people coming up the spot and they would have been confused seeing a photographer crying and photographing at the same time ,especially since no one was getting married at that present moment . That's how much I love nature and how much joy and beauty it brings to life; It was all here before us and will be here after us.

One of the scariest moments were one road locations and a creek on one side and cliff on the other. It's definitely a challenge to drive when people haven't driven it before. A few times on certain points , I held my breath in and hoped the other driver knew how to drive ,safely. And probably wasn't the smartest decision to have a lifted truck at the same time. Upon arrival to the inn and parking in the garage wasn't the easiest to navigate through when there were poles everywhere and ceiling was about a few inches away from the roof. But lesson learned and nevertheless an interesting experience.

After rushing home that next day, getting cases of water, finding a generator a few towns away and gas can, plus dinner which was grilled chicken ; wouldn't you believe it the power finally came on; it was a miracle of luck . That was the ending of my trip. Those two days , were perfect, perfect weather minus the thoughts of what could be happening at home ,running through my mind.

I have so much content to share, from this trip, I don't even know where to beginning with. And I do have some awesome gopro footage but I didn't bring my drone this time, sadly.

Open Fall Road

A new month, a new start and lots of movement.

There will be a new changes to the misread blog here and some already happened that I haven't shared yet. This month will be probably my most creative month, I can just feel it within my soul as I type.I am currently working on a written piece that just might be , my most emotional piece yet. Get those tissues ready and sorry in advance but it will be a great read. I will also be vacationally for a few days in nature again, that just means more photos and more photos to edit, the usual. And my favorite part , little to no phone service. Just me and the wild nature around. I am also finishing up that last leg of photos from last weekend near and around, Tom's place. Those will be coming out when I finish them , be on the lookout for them. Hopefully I will be adding another series or two as well , that's my aim at least. Another update another puppy joined the family , his name is Maverick and let me say he definitely lives up to his name. And Max makes sure he stays in line, some days at least.

As far as changes go on Misread blog

I have removed some written pieces from my written pieces page, the other day. I have removed them for a few reasons for now at least. And some pieces will come back but will be shorter to some length. But don't worry there will always be pieces on that page. There will never be a time where there isn't something there to read. Every new pieces will stay up for a length of time then will be removed and shorten if it's one piece that I decided should stay there. I needed to switch it up and start working on new pieces that have been in my head and expand my writer's portfolio at the same time. I will be updating my current shop that's on zazzle , if you haven't stopped by there lately, please do.

Link to the misread store : https://www.zazzle.com/s/misreadstore

I will be working on getting my print shop available on here , don't you worry. And there will be a seperate blog post about that and I will include a coupon code as well for any product in my store or a total discount of an order.

And since I haven't done a few book reviews in awhile , I might get out one or two up this month.Unless the crazy life gets in the way of things. I am currently reading Tending Roses by Lisa Wingate. And within the first page , I was hooked in the novel and being at fifty pages now. From the first page to fifty , I had a connection to the main characters that just hit home, is the best way to describe it. I already got another novel by her, which I am excited to read that to!
