It's finally second month of 2020 and the month of Romance they say. So, the question of month Is love in the air for you? I hope so for all of you reading this. I hope the relationships you are in, blossom into more than you ever unexpected. And to those who aren't in relationships currently, I hope love finds you unexpectedly if that's in a coffee shop or in your place of work and it's an unconditional love that swipes you off your own feet. And I hope you fall in love with yourself this month as well. Take yourself on a few dates, don't forget to treat yourself to something sweet and maybe take a relax in a hot bubble bath. And above all else be kind to yourself as well. I know I will be treating myself and the best way I know how. Few Books, few movies and a night out, and to top it off with a Big Bubble bath. I encourage you all to find something you are passionate about to fall in love with as well this month. Make your own passion into a reality and I hope that in return makes you love the steps you took to get there and look where that leads to as well, could just lead you to the love of your life as well.

Back to the topic of love, around this month, I tend to call my grandmother and ask her the story of her and my grandfather. One of my favorite stories she shares is how they met and how my grandfather swept her off her feet in the moment they met. Their love story is a real Romeo and Juliet story in my opinion at least. Even when everyone was against them being together, in the end it was heaven matched love that everyone could see that was forming and it was true. He whisked her away from someone that she promised to, that she never met before as well. Which led them here to America with four boys of their own in one-bedroom apartment in San Francisco back in the day. So, here is my second question what's your favorite love story of your family that has been passed down?

And I just wanted to say a little thank you, to those who have encouraged me and have read my written piece recently from January. Your sweet messages were very much appreciated and fill my heart with joy.

I don't know if there will be a Valentines post but I thought I would switch up my monthly post up a bit.

I am working on things misread here, working on a few top secret things well. And yes, there will be book reviews, new galleries and most likely a new written piece of course. I will try to get my past few trips posted as well. And Yes, I am still stepping away from social media for a bit longer, please be patient with me on that.

Remember you are always loved and you are wanted and the right one or thing will coming along.

With love always,

Misread.

Let's Talk about books

I get asked alot for book recommendations, from Family and Friends. So I thought I would share some in a blog post here!

If you know me well , you know I am always reading something and I have a book problem. I shouldn't even be allowed to buy any more books for a few years due to the pile of books I haven't read but I can't help it. I go in the store for one particular novel, I come out with five; it just happens. I prefer a bookstore over a candy store ... if you see what I just did there.

Back to the books, I would recommend.

I like genres such as Romance , Suspense, Mystery; Crime Fiction and Historical Fiction.

I would like to note, I do like both Fiction and Nonfiction as well. Some of My personal Favorite Authors are Janet Evanovich, Stieg Larsson ,Nicholas Sparks and Gayle Forman, Katherine Arden to name a few on top of my head. And not necessary in that order either, I wrote down a few names of authors I can't just get out of my head.

I highly recommend reading Janet Evanovich; Specifically her Stephanie Plum Series. There is only Twenty six to date and Trust me when I say this , you will be laughing and smiling a lot through each page. I kinda wish I wrote that series. She brings the Romance, suspense and mystery is one big punch. Stieg Larsson wrote the three novels of Girl with a dragon Tattoo series and he wrote one of the best crime fiction series, I have read and a journalist by the name of David Lagercrantz took the series over after his death. It's a worthy read the whole series to read each novel and to see the different tone of writing style between to the two authors.

Nicholas Sparks is known for his romantic fiction in Book form and on the big screen! I think beyond A walk to Remember and The Notebook , he wrote two other heartwarming roller coaster novels. I personally recommended Every Breath and Safe Haven. Especially Every Breath , if you haven't read it. The novel will make you see the idea of romance in itself differently and a love story concept in a whole different light.

Another Favorite of author of mine is Gayle Forman that pulled at my heart strings with her novels If I Stay and Where She Went. From a tragic car accident and mia's memories of the past and having of an out of body experience and making choices for the future. Gayle makes one think about one would do in if they were in that position as Mia in an out of body experience. And Where She Went, alone is about a second chance after all that happened in the first novel. That was equally moving as the first novel, brings one to tears a bit.

And lastly Katherine Arden who wrote the Winternight trilogy ,she writes in historical fiction. Her first novel and series,The Bear and the Nightingale is definitely a must read. It takes a minute to understand all the characters. But it feels like a fairytale being passed down through generations of time. My favorite character of the novel besides Vasya is Morozko. Just imagine hearing this story from ages ago by a warm fireplace surrounded by others, you will forgot you are reading a novel and think you are in the story.

Besides the authors, I named before above there are more that I love equally as much. Here is a few more to add , if you haven't read them before.

Starry Night by Debbie Macomber, Charlie Lovett ; The Bookman's Tale, Kristin Harmel :When we meet again , Debbie Gabaldon :Outlander series and Lisa Wingate: Tending Roses, A.L.Jackson : Come To Me Recklessly , Holly Black (Tithe), Lauren Kate(Fallen Series ), Heather Morris: The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Melissa Marr :The Wicked Lovely series .

I can't even name all the books in my library, I had to band hand pick my favorite ones to share. I am currently finishing up The Orphan's Tale By Pam Jenoff and another must read to add.

And if you haven't read any of my book review to date the link is down below.

Sidenote my first actual novel was Anne Frank , she was a vision beyond her time and in capturing the world around her in the most touch way through her child eyes. From there on, I have never stopped reading, all thanks to her.

Please let me know in the comments or email me if you like these recommendations. And let me know if there is any books you would like to recommend as well!

Love Always,

Open Fall Road

A new month, a new start and lots of movement.

There will be a new changes to the misread blog here and some already happened that I haven't shared yet. This month will be probably my most creative month, I can just feel it within my soul as I type.I am currently working on a written piece that just might be , my most emotional piece yet. Get those tissues ready and sorry in advance but it will be a great read. I will also be vacationally for a few days in nature again, that just means more photos and more photos to edit, the usual. And my favorite part , little to no phone service. Just me and the wild nature around. I am also finishing up that last leg of photos from last weekend near and around, Tom's place. Those will be coming out when I finish them , be on the lookout for them. Hopefully I will be adding another series or two as well , that's my aim at least. Another update another puppy joined the family , his name is Maverick and let me say he definitely lives up to his name. And Max makes sure he stays in line, some days at least.

As far as changes go on Misread blog

I have removed some written pieces from my written pieces page, the other day. I have removed them for a few reasons for now at least. And some pieces will come back but will be shorter to some length. But don't worry there will always be pieces on that page. There will never be a time where there isn't something there to read. Every new pieces will stay up for a length of time then will be removed and shorten if it's one piece that I decided should stay there. I needed to switch it up and start working on new pieces that have been in my head and expand my writer's portfolio at the same time. I will be updating my current shop that's on zazzle , if you haven't stopped by there lately, please do.

Link to the misread store : https://www.zazzle.com/s/misreadstore

I will be working on getting my print shop available on here , don't you worry. And there will be a seperate blog post about that and I will include a coupon code as well for any product in my store or a total discount of an order.

And since I haven't done a few book reviews in awhile , I might get out one or two up this month.Unless the crazy life gets in the way of things. I am currently reading Tending Roses by Lisa Wingate. And within the first page , I was hooked in the novel and being at fifty pages now. From the first page to fifty , I had a connection to the main characters that just hit home, is the best way to describe it. I already got another novel by her, which I am excited to read that to!
