Let's Talk about books

I get asked alot for book recommendations, from Family and Friends. So I thought I would share some in a blog post here!

If you know me well , you know I am always reading something and I have a book problem. I shouldn't even be allowed to buy any more books for a few years due to the pile of books I haven't read but I can't help it. I go in the store for one particular novel, I come out with five; it just happens. I prefer a bookstore over a candy store ... if you see what I just did there.

Back to the books, I would recommend.

I like genres such as Romance , Suspense, Mystery; Crime Fiction and Historical Fiction.

I would like to note, I do like both Fiction and Nonfiction as well. Some of My personal Favorite Authors are Janet Evanovich, Stieg Larsson ,Nicholas Sparks and Gayle Forman, Katherine Arden to name a few on top of my head. And not necessary in that order either, I wrote down a few names of authors I can't just get out of my head.

I highly recommend reading Janet Evanovich; Specifically her Stephanie Plum Series. There is only Twenty six to date and Trust me when I say this , you will be laughing and smiling a lot through each page. I kinda wish I wrote that series. She brings the Romance, suspense and mystery is one big punch. Stieg Larsson wrote the three novels of Girl with a dragon Tattoo series and he wrote one of the best crime fiction series, I have read and a journalist by the name of David Lagercrantz took the series over after his death. It's a worthy read the whole series to read each novel and to see the different tone of writing style between to the two authors.

Nicholas Sparks is known for his romantic fiction in Book form and on the big screen! I think beyond A walk to Remember and The Notebook , he wrote two other heartwarming roller coaster novels. I personally recommended Every Breath and Safe Haven. Especially Every Breath , if you haven't read it. The novel will make you see the idea of romance in itself differently and a love story concept in a whole different light.

Another Favorite of author of mine is Gayle Forman that pulled at my heart strings with her novels If I Stay and Where She Went. From a tragic car accident and mia's memories of the past and having of an out of body experience and making choices for the future. Gayle makes one think about one would do in if they were in that position as Mia in an out of body experience. And Where She Went, alone is about a second chance after all that happened in the first novel. That was equally moving as the first novel, brings one to tears a bit.

And lastly Katherine Arden who wrote the Winternight trilogy ,she writes in historical fiction. Her first novel and series,The Bear and the Nightingale is definitely a must read. It takes a minute to understand all the characters. But it feels like a fairytale being passed down through generations of time. My favorite character of the novel besides Vasya is Morozko. Just imagine hearing this story from ages ago by a warm fireplace surrounded by others, you will forgot you are reading a novel and think you are in the story.

Besides the authors, I named before above there are more that I love equally as much. Here is a few more to add , if you haven't read them before.

Starry Night by Debbie Macomber, Charlie Lovett ; The Bookman's Tale, Kristin Harmel :When we meet again , Debbie Gabaldon :Outlander series and Lisa Wingate: Tending Roses, A.L.Jackson : Come To Me Recklessly , Holly Black (Tithe), Lauren Kate(Fallen Series ), Heather Morris: The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Melissa Marr :The Wicked Lovely series .

I can't even name all the books in my library, I had to band hand pick my favorite ones to share. I am currently finishing up The Orphan's Tale By Pam Jenoff and another must read to add.

And if you haven't read any of my book review to date the link is down below.

Sidenote my first actual novel was Anne Frank , she was a vision beyond her time and in capturing the world around her in the most touch way through her child eyes. From there on, I have never stopped reading, all thanks to her.

Please let me know in the comments or email me if you like these recommendations. And let me know if there is any books you would like to recommend as well!

This month however things are coming together for Misread. The few technical layouts have been fix here, finally including the mobile version is more user friendly now. Misread zazzle store is now linked to this site until the new one launches. Link is down below. https://apersonmisread.wixsite.com/apersonmisread/apersonmisreadstore

I have been adding more and more items every week, I hope those items would give you a hint of what's to come on here including a print shop. I honestly can't wait to open the print shop to you guys!

There will be a book Review coming soon on : The orphan's Tale by Pam Jenoff. So far the novel is amazing storyline and I don't want to give anything but it's definitely a must read. I am one hundred pages in into the novel and I already don't want it to end. By saying that I only have two hundred and sixty eight pages left but I want more.Side Note I just switched bookcases and I have to admit, I have a book addiction. I might need to stop buying books but I love the real feel of a physical book. Can anyone relate ?

I am hoping to get out a new written piece that has something around family and love of course for the thanksgiving weeks post. And since all the power outages happened the last few weeks lots of things regarding misread world has been pushed back further back including editing photos. They will be delayed for a bit longer than I expected but there is always a reason behind something occuring in life. Currently I am getting blog posts written and scheduled through the rest of the year and coming into the new year.

I would like to take a moment and say Thank you for those who follow my blog and work, I appreciate you more than you know. You guys inspire me to do more and create more; everyday. It's a blessing to do what I am creating and I couldn't do it without you guys. Also Coffee and ME chat is coming back on Mondays!

And I would also like to say, I hope you guys take some time out this month and give back to others before the craziness of the thanksgiving week beginnings. Volunteer your time or donate a turkey to a local shelter. I tend to volunteer every year at a local senior luncheon, I love seeing the joy on people faces each year, it brightens the rest of my year. A smile goes a long way as well, remember that. Giving back is one of the best things out of the holiday season.

I can promise more work to come and exciting news as well, in all good time. And I hope this kick off to the holiday season, the best one yet for you and your family.

With love always,

Misread

Beautifully written book about Family feels in all aspects.

Tending Roses by Lisa Wingate

Let me first say this book is about family to me, through tradegy and to the most beautifu moments. lFrom beginning to end ; Lisa wingate made me think of my family in different light. From those we drifted apart and to those I am deeply close with. Then I started to think, what or whom ties us together in life. Do we have a Grandma Rose in our lives? I know I do and her personality is similar to Rose, in my opinion. Also made me think about my relationship between my father and myself ,when I read about kate and her relationship with her father; I learned something about theirs and how it's similar to my life. After thinking about things as I read each page, I felt every emotion in different ways at different moments. And at some moments tears were rolled down my cheeks at midnight.

We all have tragic moments in life, where things are said in anger or done . People grief in different ways and some hold grudges against others , even if they are the closest individuals in our lives. Family should never feel like a group of strangers in a room. People separate from one another to a point, they forget all the good memories , they had with each other. This novel made me think and wonder about family members , I reach out throughout the year and where I have never received a word from them. it shouldn't take a tragic moment in life to bring family together , nevertheless this novel is about reconnection as a family moment. From learning the rift between the family , throughout the novel, I glad in the end how things worked out for each person in the family. Aunt Jean, karen and Ben and others learned something about themselves along the way, that we could take away something to relate, to our lives.

I couldn't get enough Grandmas Rose's Wildflower notebook, makes me think about writing something like that for someone. I enjoyed reading her stories from her childhood that helped kate understand something happening her life in the present. And the time Grandma Rose took out to do that for Kate , made my heart melt. "The reason she had existed at all".I like to think Kate will write one for Joshua about their moments together.

Overall, one of my best reads of this year, in my opinion. Everyone should pick up a copy because it will open your heart in ways and help you understand family in different aspects, that you never understood before. Truly seeing people in your life , just when you close the novel. And side note I picked out this novel based on the title alone, I didn't even read the back cover. The title just stuck in my head before I even checked out of the store, I was in. This novel will change how, you see things in life and would make the perfect novel for a bookworm.

Tending Roses is the perfect Autumn novel leading into the holiday season!

Love always and more reviews to come.
