Happy Thanksgiving and Gathering!

The week of Giving , Cooking and laughs all around; oh and Little shopping in involved.

Are you ready for the buffet? And the three football games ?

This week is the beginning of the holiday season in my opinion. Seeing people that I haven't seen awhile since the last family gathering. Connecting with family without the need of a phone and apps. Seeing their faces and getting a big warm heart means more than anything.Waking up to a full house of love ones and fresh pot of coffee is the best even if that means we don't all look our sunday's best yet. Giving each other time with one another, a card game or two. Giving each other a little grief over certain memories that are a little too funny, not to bring up at every thanksgiving meal like tradition. I would like to point to out that I am Usually the one entertaing everyone with those memories coming up because I tend to be the indidunal getting injuried or say things I shouldn't say out loud. Just ask my stepbrother , he always gives me a hard time when he sees me but I enjoy it that means he actually kinda likes me if he doesn't admit it.

I also enjoy the giving back to the community through local shops for the christmas ornaments and yes I get that done before thanksgiving week. We as a family like to pay it forward when we are in line somewhere. And we enjoy picking a angel from the salvation army tree to help a family with their christmas. Giving is important through out the holiday season for everyone, you never know what giving to someone unexpectly could change their lives and what it mean to them without even knowing of them.

I am fully prepared for Maverick to swipe the turkey off the counter at any second, since he so tall now and his chin can reach the edge of the table top. Since getting that little guy and they said he has no food drive , let me tell you , Not true. I am hoping for his first thanksgiving , he won't sneak it away to his bed; Knock on wood for us. Besides Mavericks acticts, I can't wait for the thanksgiving meal with all the fixies! We all share a hand into preparing the feast in some way and form. I tend to do a side or two and possible dessert. I am considering making a fresh pumpkin pie this year. I always make sure, I get out of the turkey duty part. Because if there's a dry turkey on the table, I don't want the sides dishies coming towards me after the prayer. Better to be safe then in fire at thanksgiving table in my opinion.

Whats on your thanksgiving table? I am curious to know, is it all the same dishies every year or do add different dishies each year?

And its the time of the year where Black Friday is upon us. And the sales are on super early and deals go quick. I used to enjoy the black Friday experniece but the last few years , the Madness of the stores hasn't been worth it in my opinion. I do the thing where a few weeks I do some reaseach ideas of gifts for everyone and the add to my carts online, then save until the week of thanksgiving to purschage extactly what I need to get without go through all the madness. I called it the easy breeze shopping expereience with the discounts. And after that , I get a little yummy coffee from my favorite local coffee shop in town. I call that a win in its self. We has a family head to the local bazars in the town for little gifts to exchage.

Do you shop in stores on black Friday or online type of person?

Before I end this post, I have to know; do you start christmas dectoring right after thanksgiving day or the first of December? We are the type of family that starts dectoring , that Saturday. And yes we even put up the tree as well since everyone is in one place.

I hope you enjoy your feast or buffett of sorts! Get your deals and steals , Black Friday shopping; stress free Holiday.

With love always,

Misread

P.S : I can't wait for the christmas this year!

The Orphan's Tale by Pam Jenoff .

Let me just say first , this novel is extraordinary not only in the characters and the story. And this novel taught me that , there are so many unknown stories about the lives lost in war and there are many more stories we don't know about yet from either war. About the innocent ones, the ones who brought normalcy to the world, that was being shattered by violence. Each soul is important, regardless of their race.

I can't even imagine what their lives and emotions were each day. Protecting one and another as a family; strangers and people who come together, when they have nowhere else to go

And thinking the babies that barely had lived enough to be taken away from their mothers to their death, left an unsettling impression in my soul and reminder of what was lost; truly were the innocent , that the was also unforgiving part of who you are, it didn't matter as long you solicited with Jews you were dead to. I never thought about the circus folk during those times, I hope this novel reaches more as a reminder they mattered and existed. I just wanted to know about them, each person. And they went just some "Unamed Footnote" In history. The Circus always accepted everyone in the community and hide those who need safety from the SS. Collective of strangers with a gift became family and showed the world, there is will always be light in the world no matter what the circumstances are.

Family isn't about blood that ties us. We are all start as strangers if you think about it. And the people who walk into your life turn into family, those are the ones that speak volumes when tragedy happens. Even under the circumstances of war friendship and finding love is possible.

In the end people do the impossible to make the possible happen for the good for one soul even through war. And finding love through it all in each person through tragedy or not; loves does conquer the word even through death. I wish Peter and Astrid's had more time together. Astrid and Noa created an unbreakable bond in the end as if they were sisters from the start of their lives. Both with tragic pasts and they understood each other's secrets, the most. And Theo was the lucky one to be saved.

The ending of this novel before the epilong wasn't what I expected; in fact the last three chapters bewildered me with the events that happened. The last line in the last chapter, it made take a breath in and hold back tear."And Then Darkness"; were Noa's last words. That just said it all for the novel the darkness finally took over. Prepare for your emotions and heart strings to be pulled endless but Highly work every single one. I tried to write this book review without giving anything away. This novel is full of love, tragedy and sacificies.

Let's Talk about books

I get asked alot for book recommendations, from Family and Friends. So I thought I would share some in a blog post here!

If you know me well , you know I am always reading something and I have a book problem. I shouldn't even be allowed to buy any more books for a few years due to the pile of books I haven't read but I can't help it. I go in the store for one particular novel, I come out with five; it just happens. I prefer a bookstore over a candy store ... if you see what I just did there.

Back to the books, I would recommend.

I like genres such as Romance , Suspense, Mystery; Crime Fiction and Historical Fiction.

I would like to note, I do like both Fiction and Nonfiction as well. Some of My personal Favorite Authors are Janet Evanovich, Stieg Larsson ,Nicholas Sparks and Gayle Forman, Katherine Arden to name a few on top of my head. And not necessary in that order either, I wrote down a few names of authors I can't just get out of my head.

I highly recommend reading Janet Evanovich; Specifically her Stephanie Plum Series. There is only Twenty six to date and Trust me when I say this , you will be laughing and smiling a lot through each page. I kinda wish I wrote that series. She brings the Romance, suspense and mystery is one big punch. Stieg Larsson wrote the three novels of Girl with a dragon Tattoo series and he wrote one of the best crime fiction series, I have read and a journalist by the name of David Lagercrantz took the series over after his death. It's a worthy read the whole series to read each novel and to see the different tone of writing style between to the two authors.

Nicholas Sparks is known for his romantic fiction in Book form and on the big screen! I think beyond A walk to Remember and The Notebook , he wrote two other heartwarming roller coaster novels. I personally recommended Every Breath and Safe Haven. Especially Every Breath , if you haven't read it. The novel will make you see the idea of romance in itself differently and a love story concept in a whole different light.

Another Favorite of author of mine is Gayle Forman that pulled at my heart strings with her novels If I Stay and Where She Went. From a tragic car accident and mia's memories of the past and having of an out of body experience and making choices for the future. Gayle makes one think about one would do in if they were in that position as Mia in an out of body experience. And Where She Went, alone is about a second chance after all that happened in the first novel. That was equally moving as the first novel, brings one to tears a bit.

And lastly Katherine Arden who wrote the Winternight trilogy ,she writes in historical fiction. Her first novel and series,The Bear and the Nightingale is definitely a must read. It takes a minute to understand all the characters. But it feels like a fairytale being passed down through generations of time. My favorite character of the novel besides Vasya is Morozko. Just imagine hearing this story from ages ago by a warm fireplace surrounded by others, you will forgot you are reading a novel and think you are in the story.

Besides the authors, I named before above there are more that I love equally as much. Here is a few more to add , if you haven't read them before.

Starry Night by Debbie Macomber, Charlie Lovett ; The Bookman's Tale, Kristin Harmel :When we meet again , Debbie Gabaldon :Outlander series and Lisa Wingate: Tending Roses, A.L.Jackson : Come To Me Recklessly , Holly Black (Tithe), Lauren Kate(Fallen Series ), Heather Morris: The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Melissa Marr :The Wicked Lovely series .

I can't even name all the books in my library, I had to band hand pick my favorite ones to share. I am currently finishing up The Orphan's Tale By Pam Jenoff and another must read to add.

And if you haven't read any of my book review to date the link is down below.

Sidenote my first actual novel was Anne Frank , she was a vision beyond her time and in capturing the world around her in the most touch way through her child eyes. From there on, I have never stopped reading, all thanks to her.

Please let me know in the comments or email me if you like these recommendations. And let me know if there is any books you would like to recommend as well!

Love Always,

Misread.
