How are we all Marching into March already? Time truly just fly's away when you at least expect it to.

We are in a month of renewal of spring of life around the world. And also the anniversary when the world shut down and we didn't know of the world would come back. And now in this present time war in Ukraine and in Armenia. I would have never thought in a thousand years, we would be seeing any from war after what the world went through for two years already. But here we are in another spring season, I keep things light as possible. I know some of you come to my blog to escape for a moment and I appreciate that; I just hope I am doing a good job of it. And my thoughts, prayers are with everyone going through the unthinkable at this time. As we know March isn't just about renewal ,it's also about Women's History month and Not to forget the month where we Spring forward. ( See what I did there ), try to catch a few Rainbows with a pot of Gold.

By the time you see this post , we have already sprung forward in daylight savings time. Let me say for all us, it's a Adjustment all together. I will say the sleep I have had as been a deep restful but my body enjoys that one extra hour by not getting up. I also have been enjoying the weather lately because of the change and reading books out in nature than cuddled up in blanket in doors. I secretly think the pups like it more then I do, slipping some beverage and they run after each other or chasing the birds; they can't catch . Speaking of books I almost done with my current read The Last Checkmate by Gabriella Saab; its a mixture in-between The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris and The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis. But this novel stands out all alone as a Historical Fiction and it's a must read for sure. I haven't read The Queen's Gambit yet but I have seen the show to be honest and if you haven't read The Tattooist of Auschwitz yet, I will have a book review linked down below. Also I know I haven't posted the prior book review yet, you guys will be getting a two book reviews in my next post. A little bonus treat in my opinion. Speaking of spring and good weather, I did do some scouting around for fields of wildflowers and Poppies for the season. And let me tell you I found some great spots, some old goodies. I might be little giddy as a child about it at the moment because being around untouched nature that come back each year feels like pure escape from reality. I think we all need to that as mush as possible because in the world we live everyday , we deserve a moment to breathe away to another world. Anyone agree ? But to my little disappointment it's suppose to snow again, lets hope the pretty flowers just don't disappear quite yet with the freeze. I want to run into some fields of dreams before the blooming season escapes to summer. To also note from my adventures lately I found a new hiking spot The Vasquez Rocks. I always saw people hiking along the area while driving to the city, so on one Monday morning , made a little trip out there. Let me say, it didn't disappoint from the views and had a lovely little hike. It was cut short however that particular day due to the high winds and I was flying with the wind then against it. Spring Season officially starts this Sunday, explores I hope you have the opportunity to get out and explore the trails where you are. And to my gardener friends I hope you can tend to your beautiful gardens soon.

A little work update , I was published in my local town newspaper which was exciting and of course I save a copy of the paper with pictures that won from the show. I know I keep saying that new things are coming your way and they are. Its just been a little hectic around here more so lately, Tax season is upon us. We all know how that all goes every year. But my creativity for writing has been on my heart again. I know you are all itching for a new story to read , I am just waiting on time and the perfect "Comeback "story. Full warning now, its probably going to be an emotional piece. So don't come for me if I make you cry or laugh too much. Plus a few other shows are coming in the next couple of months. Also I know I promised detailed travel posts from over the years, you get them with all pictures and where the most go places from the trips. I can't wait to get back to traveling more around the country and the world. To end this not so lengthy monthly blog post , I hope you are enjoying the good weather, hopefully not paying to much for gas where ever you are. You are happy and being creative in your own field of work. Maybe enjoy the full moon this week and longer daylight hours to. I hope everyone enjoyed St Patrick's day and wore some green to! Maybe have a little Irish treat as well. Mine was minty Chocolate covered mini pretzels, I wanted a Irish coffee but I forgot, Maybe It wasn't meant to be. Let me know if you any of you found a rainbow or shamrock? And please don't forget to learn a story about a woman from history or about a woman in this time making an impact in the present.

P.s Did you know March was named after the Roman god of war, Mars ?

I didn't know that until I googled it myself.

Here's the link to The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris ( My Book Review) https://apersonmisread.wixsite.com/personmisread/post/unforgettable-love-story-in-dark-history See you soon Misreaders.

Let's Get into it...Its long overdue

I know I haven't done book review in a long time and equally for long time escaping into any novel wasn't relaxing or was my form of escaping reality. Saying that and taking a slip of coffee, fully knowing that I have tons to books to catch up to read and review before summer begins. And yes my friends who sent me books to review, I promise to get yours next. But I am not going to lie , I might have a book problem on my hands, I say this every year but it seems I require more books and more books than I read but I wouldn't change it either way to have giant library one day. Enough of my babbling on, I could talk for hours on books alone.

Virgin River, we all know is a popular Netflix series and if you are like me , you fell in love with it within a few short minutes into episode one. And I know why I love it each page , each episode. And that's right down to each character, each character is strong and each person is a leading role no one outstands another.

I promise not to give to much away.. I will try at least but just thinking about this series makes me want to share everything !

Virgin River :Shelter Mountain

Shelter Mountain is the second novel in the series. And once you are in the novel, you are full of roller-coaster emotions and be sure to have a tissues on hand and maybe a snack of something as well. Because you are going to want to finish this novel before dusk sets. This story is about Paige coming to Virgin River to hide out from her abusive husband with their son Christopher. What Paige didn't plan is staying in the little town for as long as she did. And Peacher didn't expect to fall in love at the same time besides to help Paige. Who would of thought that Peacher to turn into Teddy bear. Watching and reading the whole town to protect Paige , a woman they didn't know much about and yet protected her as just one of their own. That's the way life of people in Virgin River , they step up for everyone without a second thought.

Ricky and Liz the young in love birds , I call them . They both fall in love unexpectedly and held each other through the toughest moment in their lives. This novel is definitely a story of the unexpected to happen and trust me by saying that would be a understatement and yet very True. I would say refer to Jack and Mel on the subject. And to refence that, once you get to pages 333 to 337; one could truly understand . Side note those pages is my favorite part in the novel. The underlining theme of this novel is ; Everyone deserves a place to call home, a place to feel safe and to escape to. Virgin River seems to the home to the unexpected ones who need it the most then never leaves the tiny town and end up calling it Home forever. And before I forget to mention Mike , the ex-marine, ex cop his story coming to the little couldn't have fitted more perfectly for his recovery and for his next chapter in this life. One more thing to note, who would thought Dan would be such a rescuer.

Virgin River : Whispering Rock

Whispering Rock is the third in the series. And by the time you are through this novel. You will be thinking the same thing I thought , "There is definitely in that water at virgin water. And when can I drink some ". My first thoughts after finishing this novel was that , Carr out did herself again. A novel full of tragic events, mistakes but in the end turned into the most beautiful story. Whispering Rock hit me in away that I could only understand why . It makes you think about things in your life and the relations from your life to the novel. Whispering Rock did have the same thing has shelter mountain did but it build on it. This one is not a book you want to miss picking up. And there is lots exciting news in-between the crazy chapters.

In this novel, I fell in love with Brie and Mike's story. So many layers between them , teaching each other to love, to trust and their passion is undeniable. They were both broken in their own situation and yet from their individual tragedy brought them together not knowing they were meant to be all along as fate would have it. Brie is one strong , brilliant lawyer that you want as a best friend. By the end of the novel , she was built even stronger through all her struggles; you will feel her emotions coming off the pages. I loved the parts about Peacher and Paige, Who knew Peacher would be like this a relationship ; being a marine. I can't wait to read more about Paul, The General; Vanessa and Tom; so much more depth to explore between them.

All in the end

You need the Virgin River book series in your life and it's better than the show. But again I am one of those book nerds that will prefer the novels over the shows, movies etc. And you know that I am going to report on my progress in completing the whole series and hopefully by the end of the year. I hope you all take my recommendation and dive right into the series with me as well.

Each book seems to get better page by page; each character that get introduced. Let me say when character that comes through the story and you think you understood them. There is a curve ball and more of their own story comes out , each one of them is full of much more depth and we has readers just scratch the surface. Carr seems to write with such grace and effortless each time. As if we are right in the center of the novel and not in our own world. I never loved a whole group of characters more then Virgin River.

I did try my very best not to share every detail from the novels and believe me I still want to .... But then you all won't read them. If you only saw my hand written notes in my book review journal , the secrets they contain from the hours reading out the sun. These stories are worth reading and the feels you will feel while reading will feel like you are hearing them around a group of best friends. I am already ordering the next two as soon as this live!

P.S: This Book review would of gone up sooner but life had a different plan in my mind and the unexpected happened ! And I might of fried my keybored with my favorite coffee to add but that's in the past. I will be adding a few more book reviews this month, be on a look out for them! And A brand New Blog post will be going up after this as well. I hope you are all doing well and get your hands on Virgin River ASAP !

See you soon!

Spring is here in April and Easter is Just around the Corner

It's that time again ,another monthly Catchup but at least we are the Spring Season. Where we start see the ground beneath our feet turn into greenery around the world. The daily quarantine

walks around will be filled with fresh grass appearing , the sprouting daffodils showing signs of spring and the reminder that Easter is around the corner. I am not going to lie the spring season is exciting to me because it feels the year just begun, the feeling of a fresh start in the air. Does anyone else agree ? Spring just feels like a the beginning to what last year was and what we have been searching for.

By that being said it's April first , the day of jokes to kick off the month. Now I must say, I come from a family of pranksters so this day was a necessary moment of the day to get someone back . But that being said I haven't pulled a prank in a couple years and to be honest I kind of miss the planning of a prank but not the clean up of one . I once took everyone's left or right shoe of another pair of shoes that was in the house. And yes, that was a lot of shoes to hide away and get away with going into other's closets without anyone knowing. It took a long time to take all those without making a closet looking undisturbed. That had to be the most time consuming of a prank. Over the years I think we all grew up in the sense that .. No pulls joke on anyone specially what we are going through collectively. But we all need a good laugh once in a while, So I say lets keep the pranks only on this day and end by mid day.

Today being the first day of April, is the perfect day in the start of the spring season. The weather is perfect the only thing missing a beach and close friends. But being underneath clear skies and seventy degree weather with a light breeze, I will take any day. I am kind of tempted to pull out my swim wear, a beach towel, a playlist playing in the background and picking up good book after I finish this up. What would you do if your perfect weather outside and you are just finishing up your workday? Speaking of a good book , I have two new book reviews coming out this month and yes I am excited to share them with you. They are two Robin Carr novels back to back and I was too tempted to not find out what happen before I even typed up book number two book's review , that's why there was has been a little delay. What I will be reading next two novels by written friends that have on list for a while and I can't wait to share them to! Side note , I will be adding a link to those reviews to the bottom of this post.

Since the season of me working on other things have come to the end for the most part , I am excited to coming back to my work in full force. And you have no idea, I have stories that I want to be share, my book to be finally finished. Now since I have more time on my hands that I hope I can the distraction that people need or a little pick me up here and there. I know I have a back long of pictures to go through and edit a few. Also those long go trips that I never shared before will be added along the way. San Francisco trips, the Sierras trips and the many seaside's trips, it's time to share those memories, the must go to coffee shops and of course the yummy food that was beyond.

Let's Talk about Easter Sunday for a minute. This holiday is probably one of the fondest memories I share with my Nene and my family. Too much food made on this holiday , I am not kidding it's more food than Thanksgiving across the dinning table. One of my favorite memories is the egg game that we play around the table basically called , "The Egg War". Where the best egg wins and you are called the lucky person. I am usually out of the game by the third round, I egg usually get's cracked my the other person by that time. One of the fondest memory that I have , that game always bring out the best and the worst of some people but full of laughs either way. I always looked forward seeing my Nene on this holiday and making dishes along side her. For example making Ohtcheh, it seems so easy to make. But making it on my own this year and I am going to share that my first attempt was a fail but it was close to her's. I can taste my favorite thing she would make for me each time she was her Eetch which is can be eaten like a salad or dip. As I type this part of the post, I wish was here so she could tell me her recipe because somehow the handwritten recipe I wrote down the last she was here as walked away. I have only made it once under direction in the kitchen next to me. I can see her in the apron that's hanging in the pantry and pink rose slippers tell me to get the mixer and to make sure the pot doesn't boil over. The million carton of colored of eggs that my little cousins made. The many tubs of food she already prepared at her house that sneaked their little way to the refrigerator . And the handmade cheese she made from the week , I never learned that from her but I loved watching her hand make them and make the knot twists. I miss her everyday, the smell of her kitchen and her laugh the most.

To close this off on a good note and Good Friday is ahead of us. And we can all laugh for a minute, I will be attempting to make Eetch and Ohtcheh again and I am sure I will miss something but I know that I am doing this for her, to keep her love around not just me but all of us. I know that would bring her a bit of joy minus that Fact I am still unmarried she would say in her English way. "No money , No hunny and You need to make food " . I hear her voice just now that makes me smile.

Changing gears up and so we all don't get to sappy at this point , I do have more good news! And you haven't misread has been looking different lately , there has been some layout changes and more changes are coming and a brand new element is coming. I do have a few surprises in store and they are coming as well but I just can't tell you about them in this present moment. They are coming! Happy Easter ! Happy Little spring ! Happy Good Friday !

Remember you loved, you are special and more !

With love always,

Misread.
