I can say this first day of March 2023 definitely feels like the middle December instead of closer to the spring season. Currently I am in the office hiding away all buddle up in 32 degrees attire from head to toe almost. I have the third blizzard making a mess of outside but I got a hot cup of coffee to my right which was brewed perfectly in my opinion. While I am slipping the hot cup slowly just to enjoy it, I have two out of three big shepherds laying on fluffy beds next to the office, guarding me as usual and yet they are completely lights out instead! What am I going to do with these to two? And Max went into another room to hide away with his toys. Then again if I was them, I would be curl up too sleeping the day away. They are quiet lucky pups in my opinion but don't tell them that.

I thought I would start the introduction to this blog post today on this winterly cozy day before I got distracted working on other blogs post even though you will see the other blogs post before this. Hello All !

It's been exactly nine days after I started this blog post, Let me tell you this time they weren't kidding when the blizzard arrived. There was so much snow that I have a shovel snow for a least three days in row just to make a little dent in making path ways for the dogs. The snow level was almost to my knees at some points and other areas it was practically at my hips. I still had snow until this morning when rain storm decided to melt the rest of the snow. I know mason had lots of zoomies for days after the blizzard, he easily got his cardio in each day. Maverick enjoy it when he could lay in the sun within the snow patches. Max just want to eat as much snow has possible before it goes away. They each have their own personalities when it comes to snow. I did get some fun content during the storm and the aftermath of it all. I haven't gotten around to post it all anywhere yet but of course I will when I have a moment. There's a few quite awesome time lapses I took during the snow, hail and everything else. I can confirm the pack I have knock down a tripod and sent my phone flying when they can, but mainly maverick with his tail . But don't worry the phone was not harmed in the process just sent flying repeatly throughout the day.

On another note I did mention in the nourishment post, I did enter in the winter photo contest locally again in the beginning of the year. And I won't keep you in suspense anymore than I have to. Well the turn out was good, there was quite different artists that took part in the contest. Like I have said previously my only aim is to beat my own work each show. And think the outcome was not too shabby this round. I didn't get best in show but Maybe next time, I will snag that one! My outcome was four out five entered which is pretty good in my opinion. The categories I entered in were People, Black and white, Transportation, animals of course. Each show I start out with rough fifty pictures that I think they are the best then from that fifty, I narrow it down to fifteen to print. Then I sat them to the side for a week before the show, to forget them for awhile for a days. After those few days pass I make a top eight with photo matts possible titles with fitted categories. And some how the day before the window closes to enter them I always end up with six in hand. Then I walk in the gallery on the last day with the six but walk out with one that my intuition told me to wait on. And I like to think it's my process of how I do it each time that make me successful each time. Now that I got that out of the way, on to what you really want to know; what were the photos that won. In order was in the first place was "Gang of Eight " in the animal category which was a group of eight giant Elk watching the hot air balloons flying. And trust me taking that photo particularly was interesting one to get at the time, last year.

We shall see if I get a better one this year. I also had a picture of an flying pelican over the blue ocean waves titled "Low Approach". That was different for me to enter in a contest and definitely hard to get clear shot when those guys fly across the waves. I won first place in transportation with one of my favorite captures from last year! I was secretly hoping that would place at least. It was a capture of a flying airplane in the sky and I titled that "Fly Girl Fly "because it was actually piloted by a female pilot that I saw at Edwards air force show.

Which I left made it in a septic color than printing it in regular color, I think in septic; it grasped the eye to know more about it. And it reminded of a old newspaper photograph.

I won second in the black and white category with birds flying off a cliff on a moody day by the ocean, I titled that one" Cast Ways". I titled that because it kind remined me of the ending of The Count of Monte Cristo. Lastly I had a photo place third in the people category of a parachute jumper flying out a jet and tilted that one, "Coming in Hot". That was also hard to get looking up in that hot sun in July at the base but I will say it was definitely worth looking up.

Looking at the set of photos from that I entered at the end of January. I definitely didn't notice the flying theme or the water elements either until now. I just thought they are all stand out as my best work for the year. And they each said something different to people looking at them in the gallery. Rather than that was the judges or just people looking at them during the show. I hope that I at least inspired one person to create their own beauty .Isn't funny when you reflect on something you did in the past that brings up another theme or meaning being brought in your present moment. And you think , "Oh wow I didn't see that one".

I hope you guys enjoyed this little read and my share of what I accomplished in the previous months. I just have been busy doing some things and living life that I have delayed lot of work but I keep my word; more things will be coming and things will be updated. I have been just a book worm just reading constantly and writing down my notes for the reviews. Currently I am in the world of Stephanie plum's. Lets say I have read three books back to back and I love every single second of it, when I open a novel by Janet Evanovich. I have just been happy in my own world, taking pictures, living life and reading novels. I hope you are happy and living your own little world to the fullest. Till then I will catch you in the next one since I am a little behind as always. X

See you soon !

love always , '

How are we all Marching into March already? Time truly just fly's away when you at least expect it to.

We are in a month of renewal of spring of life around the world. And also the anniversary when the world shut down and we didn't know of the world would come back. And now in this present time war in Ukraine and in Armenia. I would have never thought in a thousand years, we would be seeing any from war after what the world went through for two years already. But here we are in another spring season, I keep things light as possible. I know some of you come to my blog to escape for a moment and I appreciate that; I just hope I am doing a good job of it. And my thoughts, prayers are with everyone going through the unthinkable at this time. As we know March isn't just about renewal ,it's also about Women's History month and Not to forget the month where we Spring forward. ( See what I did there ), try to catch a few Rainbows with a pot of Gold.

By the time you see this post , we have already sprung forward in daylight savings time. Let me say for all us, it's a Adjustment all together. I will say the sleep I have had as been a deep restful but my body enjoys that one extra hour by not getting up. I also have been enjoying the weather lately because of the change and reading books out in nature than cuddled up in blanket in doors. I secretly think the pups like it more then I do, slipping some beverage and they run after each other or chasing the birds; they can't catch . Speaking of books I almost done with my current read The Last Checkmate by Gabriella Saab; its a mixture in-between The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris and The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis. But this novel stands out all alone as a Historical Fiction and it's a must read for sure. I haven't read The Queen's Gambit yet but I have seen the show to be honest and if you haven't read The Tattooist of Auschwitz yet, I will have a book review linked down below. Also I know I haven't posted the prior book review yet, you guys will be getting a two book reviews in my next post. A little bonus treat in my opinion. Speaking of spring and good weather, I did do some scouting around for fields of wildflowers and Poppies for the season. And let me tell you I found some great spots, some old goodies. I might be little giddy as a child about it at the moment because being around untouched nature that come back each year feels like pure escape from reality. I think we all need to that as mush as possible because in the world we live everyday , we deserve a moment to breathe away to another world. Anyone agree ? But to my little disappointment it's suppose to snow again, lets hope the pretty flowers just don't disappear quite yet with the freeze. I want to run into some fields of dreams before the blooming season escapes to summer. To also note from my adventures lately I found a new hiking spot The Vasquez Rocks. I always saw people hiking along the area while driving to the city, so on one Monday morning , made a little trip out there. Let me say, it didn't disappoint from the views and had a lovely little hike. It was cut short however that particular day due to the high winds and I was flying with the wind then against it. Spring Season officially starts this Sunday, explores I hope you have the opportunity to get out and explore the trails where you are. And to my gardener friends I hope you can tend to your beautiful gardens soon.

A little work update , I was published in my local town newspaper which was exciting and of course I save a copy of the paper with pictures that won from the show. I know I keep saying that new things are coming your way and they are. Its just been a little hectic around here more so lately, Tax season is upon us. We all know how that all goes every year. But my creativity for writing has been on my heart again. I know you are all itching for a new story to read , I am just waiting on time and the perfect "Comeback "story. Full warning now, its probably going to be an emotional piece. So don't come for me if I make you cry or laugh too much. Plus a few other shows are coming in the next couple of months. Also I know I promised detailed travel posts from over the years, you get them with all pictures and where the most go places from the trips. I can't wait to get back to traveling more around the country and the world. To end this not so lengthy monthly blog post , I hope you are enjoying the good weather, hopefully not paying to much for gas where ever you are. You are happy and being creative in your own field of work. Maybe enjoy the full moon this week and longer daylight hours to. I hope everyone enjoyed St Patrick's day and wore some green to! Maybe have a little Irish treat as well. Mine was minty Chocolate covered mini pretzels, I wanted a Irish coffee but I forgot, Maybe It wasn't meant to be. Let me know if you any of you found a rainbow or shamrock? And please don't forget to learn a story about a woman from history or about a woman in this time making an impact in the present.

P.s Did you know March was named after the Roman god of war, Mars ?

I didn't know that until I googled it myself.

Here's the link to The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris ( My Book Review) https://apersonmisread.wixsite.com/personmisread/post/unforgettable-love-story-in-dark-history See you soon Misreaders.

Here we are ,three months into 2021. March madness, empower women and Irish coffee ; Spring coming about.

When you read this month's blog post , just know I have been a busy bee and this month's post slipped my mind. And I just finished my caramel coffee for lunch with bit of music playing in the background, I was dragging a bit and I forgot to make a cup of life this morning. Enough of me blabbing along, back to this post !

I can't even believe it we are in March already ! It still feels like we just had Christmas to me and yet again we are three months into 2021 and spring is right around the corner. How are you doing so far into this year ? I like to call this month the madness month of all months because normally there is so much happening in this month. Preparation for the up coming tax season like most people. Noticing that I haven't keeping up with my goal of the year usually happens as well then I get my little self in gear about those things. And course the ever changing weather season as well, snow one day then blue skies the next, the repeating cycle continues on until April.

I love this month altogether, the change the air minus the fact we are faced with the anniversary of this pandemic. I don't know about you , I can't for the world to feel like it's old self but by that being said change is good to , we are learning about our old ways if you know what I mean. I love that this month is about empowering women. I know we just had international woman's day , that's when this post was suppose to go up but as fate would have it , I am still writing it. I will say us a women lived lot of lives , we carry lot and sometimes we don't always get the full recognition every time in life. But on international women's day , I think about those who lead the way before my own time that we are still learning about the strength they had when others didn't. I think about the beautiful women that I know in my present time; the ones with children , the ones who work the hardest jobs and yet they are ones who show the most strength. The Women that I don't talk often with and when I hear about their achievements they inspire me every single day.

To the lovely ladies that I know; You are loved , you are beautiful in your messy attire and in your fancy attire to.

Another favorite thing about this month is of course St Patrick's day is just around the corner as well. The smell of the slower cooker of a roast filling the house, Cooked cabbage , fresh vegetables and baked potatoes in the oven. Maybe close the meal with a bit of Irish coffee , never had one before but I am looking forward to one. I just hope I don't forget to wear something green this time or the leprechauns will see me. And yes I will be baking my Andes mint green chocolate chip cookies! I think I finally figured out a good ratio between Andes bits to chocolate chips, we shall how this round goes. Of course I will be add a picture of two of the cookies if I remember before they are consumed by the clan of cookie monsters! And like every holiday that comes around I always look up the meaning of the holiday then just recipes to make. Like St.Partick's day is the day of remembrance of Saint Patrick during the fifth century who was captured but escaped and brought Christianity to Ireland as well. To honest with you , I don't remember being taught that in school back in the day just being told to wear green on March seventeen but I learned more information now by looking into the history a bit more.

Yes, it's been another day of me delaying this months post but just know I am working on this from my bed when there's another blizzard outside and I felt ill in the last twenty-four hours and I forgot to close out this mini post which let's be honest has now has to be a mini post for the delay. And if you are thinking my bodyguards are in their bed's you are wrong they have been at the bottom of my bed , not letting me leave my bed. By that being said I can't wait for spring weather to be upon us, light rain here and there. The gardens bloom more with fresh flowers, fresh herbs and fresh vegetables from mother nature. I am currently loving the long days again, I might be the only one in that group, I like getting more done in the day , to be being able to do more outside then in the house. And before this winter storm outside I did see some mint plants coming back already which is so exciting , that just means mint lemonade sooner .

What are you looking forward about this spring ? Let me know.

Time to close out this blog post out officially. This month already gone by fast to me, took a trip out to Redondo beach , discovered the perfect Salmon that I have been searching for since my first trip to San Francisco! I can even tell you how excited I was taste that flavor again and I highly recommend you try it at the Bluewater Grill by the beach, try it with the Mediterranean Sause. And believe me I couldn't stop talking about this Salmon since that sunset night. Oh if you are ever down there, you must try coffee cartel, worth every penny and then some; I promise you that ! I just finished Shelter Mountain by Robyn Carr, I am even more in love this series and it's characters to. I am going to write the book review for the book after this goes live so be on a look out for that. I do have Whispering Rock seating next to me and I am itching to dive in into that novel. I promise to share more stories with you.

As always,

Love
